Psalm 63
IIntroduction: A Psalm of David, when he was in the wilderness of Judah.

Most probably during his escape from Absalom.

The picture which seems to be portrayed by this psalm is one of David beginning to break, and
feeling the loneliness that can come only during such a time. This loneliness is not for his wives
and family, but for the worship of God in Jerusalem. Although he realizes that he is not
separated from God in the wilderness, there is a special presence of God in His worship which
is not to be found anywhere else. Therefore, for this reason, filled with the sense of the glory and
power of God brought forth in the wonders of creation that surround him, David years to return to
the worship of the creator.
