We are left with two alternatives: 1) things came into existence by themselves; or, 2)
God brought things into existence. What evidence is there of either? It is a matter of
faith either way: do we have faith in matter, or do we have faith in God? Does it make
more sense that inanimate matter brought itself into existence, or does it make more
sense that a living, breathing God brought things into existence?

"Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of
God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do
appear." (Hebrews 11:3 KJV)
